Week 6 & 7, right?

I am ready, so ready, for a little relaxation.  I doubt I will get it, so it goes in Minnesota in summer.  There is always a lawn to mow, a garden to plant, etc.  Maybe when H is older and isn’t all consuming and can go outside without fear of her eating things she should not.  Maybe.  She is just starting to walk, so there is that too. This week was a good week.  It helps to have the whole house trying to eat healthier.  It sucks to have to dictate what even the adults eat, but it is worth it in the long run.

Last week, when I tried to blog, but never found the time.

Current Weight: 264.4

This week, where it is already Wednesday night and I am just now doing this.

Current Weight: 263.4

Change: -1

Total so far: -13.4

I feel like I’ve finally passed that point where I am struggling and now I’m getting in to the swing of things.  There are still challenges.  Like the fact that my mutinous tonsils are the size of limes and I can’t swallow or talk without chemical intervention.  However, I’m getting by and doing what I should.  I also have an appointment to see my asthma and allergy doc about my sinus/tonsil situation and a follow up with the ENT that agreed to yank them out.  Seems I waited too long and I need to go back so she can go “yup, still huge” and I can schedule my surgery.  The thought of being gone from work for two weeks is exciting, even if it requires horrible pain.  I think that means I need a break.

In other medical news, I have an appointment with a new endo next week (thanks to Alexa for the recommendation).  I am hoping she is willing to work with me to help me lose the weight I need to and meet my long term goal of not being a Type 2 Diabetic.  I’m doing my part by losing weight, cutting down on my sugar intake and exercising.  That last part being key.  I ordered two sports bras over the weekend. They got here and while one is going back (tag doesn’t match the size), the other one is a good fit.  I’ve got a wicking t-shirt coming soon too, and that combined with the shorts I already have means that other than a new pair of running shoes, I’m all set to start running again.  Mutinous tonsils be damned, I’m getting out this weekend.  The shuffle is charging at this very minute.  By Monday, C25K week 1, day one, will at a minimum have been attempted.  Hold me too it?

Did I say this before? It totally won’t be 2 weeks off work (unless you want it to be or you have an especially hard time). I had mine out in my 20s in college & was back in class after a long weekend of recovery. Mind, you’re not *eating* normally, but I would think a week off max would be fine. You should be off prescription painkillers within 3 days or so. Then again, I’m not in my 20s anymore, ha! Staring down a rapidly approaching 40 is a different kettle of fish in terms of recovery.
